Okay, please let's clarify this a bit.
First of all, you're right. I'm a white guy in a very white environment, therefore I'm not qualified to question the problem or tell any black person how to feel about and approach anything.
All I can offer to the table/debate is my white-privileged POV, my experience as an anti-fascist activist in the hostile anti-anti-fascist environment of Dresden/Germany, and an interpretation of things I do observe.
My observation was/is:
Instead of bringing up own #blackfedi instances running own choices of AP-enabled software, (de-)federating under own statues, moderating by own trusted community members under an own set of rules, I saw a lot of people trying to establish a #blackmastodon user base on white-owned an run #whitemastodon instances and - it didn't work out. Obviously.
Therefore I'd love to see the black community not to try to "occupy white places" here (while it makes very good sense IRL!) where awareness to black needs is a matter of white good will, but to EXPAND the
with a whole new black star system, gaining an own black gravity and by this the respect and leverage to influence the developement i.e. of the east-german based and very white #Mastodon project.
This is what the #Fediverse and its #decentralization is all about, to become independent from accumulated powers, and the way to become a respected part of it is #SelfHosting.

in my humble, but considerable, opinion we ought to focus on a mass education campaign around the theory behind equal rights for all
Einstein and Freud exchanged letters making it clear that a lack of equal rights and the lack of an effective international court for conflict resolution were the key causes of war
the fight to educate others about human rights is the fight against war
