@Judeet99 @JohnLAlford

Democrats have utterly failed the electorate.

Jimmy Carter signed the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights but not a single thing has been done with it by Democrats.

The ICESCR provides a simple step-by-step, yet holistic, approach to “civil rights” aka Human Rights.

Until the Party people recognize and realize the need for ratifying ICESCR, they will always be out of touch.

@clearwater53 bunch of losers in congress still haven’t done what was asked of them in the 70s: #RatifyICESCR so that we actually have #humanrights in #america, not just #civilrights

@fugitivemonkey

ever read the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights?

I think that working to #RatifyICESCR is going to be the most effective, possibly only viable solution, to the injustices of class and to give us all a level playing field in our conditions

@milo @uspolitics

Tell #congress to #RatifyICESCR, while you are at it. Take away the incentives for #crime by providing the basic #humanrights including #EconomicSocialAndCulturalRights

@violetmadder @LetsRoc @faab64 @Miro_Collas @palestine

based on my experience advocating for #humanrights, i can concur that there has been no follow through.

time to hold congress accountable

@[email protected] @[email protected] I concur. The degree and type of oppression vary a lot but it's everywhere.

>> I’ll never vote Blue or Red or for any candidate until they advocate publicly that we #RatifyICESCR. International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (#ICESCR)

You might never get a chance to vote again, and you can happily take your single issue to your grave because #Trump is certainly not going to ratify that covenant.

Also, if your apathy re-elects Trump, you’d be personally responsible for any Trump-encouraged pogroms against #Muslims

Speaking on behalf of UN chief António Guterres, Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed emphasized that universal health coverage will correct a “human rights tragedy on a massive scale”, with billions currently unable to access essential health services.

Healthcare: Lack of universal coverage, ‘human rights tragedy on a massive scale’ - SDF Chatter

It is made in budget decisions and policy decisions. Most of all, it is made by investing in primary healthcare, which is the most inclusive, equitable, and efficient path to universal health coverage,” he emphasized.

Booyah, now let's get the GOP and DNC to agree :D

If we can get them to finally #RatifyICESCR, then a lot of our human rights will become the supreme law of the land, through international treaty.

I’m a huge fan of advocating that the American people take back their power by writing to their congresspeople demanding that they take action to ratify the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (ICESCR).

For as long as we keep twiddling our thumbs on ratifying ICESCR, we will constantly be fighting these same political battles over and over until it eventually, through gross negligence, spills out into civil war.
