Heute schleppte ich mein rund 2kg schweres Tele-Objektiv rund 1500 Meter einen Berg hoch, nur um ein paar Steinböcke zu fotografieren. Was ich oben antraf übertraf jedoch meine Erwartungen deutlich. Rund 50 Steinböcke traf ich dort an. Alte Steinböcke mit riesigen Hörnern, aber auch ganz Junge. Auch ein paar Weibchen waren dort, was auch eher selten ist, da diese meistens nicht mit den Männchen zusammen unterwegs sind. Zum ersten Mal überhaupt konnte ich auch schlafende Steinböcke beobachten. Es war einfach traumhaft schön.

Today, I lugged my 2kg telephoto lens 1500 meters up a mountain, just to photograph some ibexes. However, what I found at the top far exceeded my expectations. I encountered around 50 ibexes there. Old ibexes with huge horns, but also very young ones. There were also a few females, which is rather rare, as they usually are not in the same place as the males. For the first time ever, I was also able to observe sleeping ibexes. It was simply beautiful.

Für die ganze Schweiz war schönes Wetter und wolkenloser Himmel gemeldet. Ich schaffte es, für meine heutige Wanderung den wohl einzigen Teil der Schweiz zu finden, in welchem es teilweise dichte Wolken gab... Aber auch nicht schlecht, ergibt es doch eine tolle Stimmung. Zum Glück gab es dann aber doch noch etwas Sonne.

The weather forecast predicted fine weather and clear skies all across Switzerland. For my hike today, I managed to find what was probably the only part of Switzerland where there were thick clouds... But that wasn't too bad either, as it created a great atmosphere. Fortunately, there was still some sunshine.

Der letzte Baum - Diese herbstlich gefärbe Gruppe von Lärchen befindet sich an der oberen Waldgrenze. Es folgten nur noch Heidelbeersträucher und Felsen.

The last tree - This group of larch trees, coloured by autumn, is located at the upper tree line. Beyond them were only blueberry bushes and rocks.

Le week-end passé j ai eu la chance de participer aux championnats du monde de la #raclette à #morgins en raclant pour l’Alpage de la Pierre qui produit du raclette d’alpage de brebis. Magnifique expérience!

Letzte Woche besuchte ich einen meiner Lieblingsorte. Ein abgeschiedener Bergsee, umgeben von einer unglaublichen Bergkulisse. Nur ich und ein paar Steinböcke. Seit gestern gibt es hier nun Schnee und das kleine Tal, in welchem der See liegt, ist dadurch möglicherweise erst im nächsten Juni wieder erreichbar.

Last week, I visited one of my favourite places. A secluded mountain lake surrounded by incredible mountain scenery. Just me and a some ibexes. Yesterday snow arrived, and the small valley in which the lake lies may not be accessible again until next June.
