Hey sports-mad Austrayyans, we won our first ever gold medal in the World Climbing Series over the weekend when Oceana Mackenzie crushed the Women's boulder finals in Bern. You can watch her climbing some really gnarly problems to beat the rest of the field here (it's geoblocked for ?reasons? in some parts of the world):

Got on some multipitch trad routes at Dyurrite / the Arapiles on the weekend. First big multi pitch for me and my climbing partner, we took all day to do five pitches (Shroud, 120m, grade 10 (5.4 / 3.b) great fun https://www.thecrag.com/en/climbing/australia/arapiles/the-pharos/route/12921373 if you're interested). Picture is me on Conifer Crack on the second pitch.
Going back to work today to get some rest.

Going to be getting my first taste of #bouldering on real rock in a couple of weeks!

My gym are running a few introduction days geared at people who've never climbed outside before, in the beautiful Peak District (Burbage South specifically).

Also planning to do a 2 day intro to outdoor #climbing course over a weekend later this year, also on the Peak District Gritstone, on my long road to learning to eventually lead trad routes.

Everest: Record 274 climbers scale world's highest peak via Nepal in one day

The summit bonanza comes after a late start to this climbing season due to earlier route obstructions.

Checked out the new Crux location in South Austin last weekend

And I got the chance to try out my new climbing boots. They work flawlessly on the snow/ice and the auto crampons are slick.

That said, too heavy on the feet for the approach trail, so I had to figure out how to strap them to my little climbing pack.

New #hiking boots! Couldn't resist remaking that image comparing them with my #climbing shoes.

Went on a #climbing trip to Nissedal in #Norway with a big group of friends. Despite the early spring in the Nordics, we initially saw snow, rain, and temperatures around 5°C.

Pic: Hægefjell as we found it, wet and snowy

However, on the last three days of the trip the weather gradually got better and I managed to climb three multipitch routes. 🧵
