was looking at a vintage folding rule my partner has. it’s one of those beautifully crafted wooden, boxwood and brass tools. it’s by Hockley Abbey (John Rabone and Sons tools in Birmingham, UK). common thing as they were making 27,000 a week by 1945!
but it’s the #numerals that i’m taken by, look at the curls on the 2 and 3.

Our garden center is a satellite drop off point for a local Habitat For Humanity location. So we occasionally get people clearing out their garages/sheds of tools they haven't touched in decades.

Always interesting seeing power tools from Sears/Craftsman from when Sears was the Amazon of the U.S.

These two vises are heavy for their size. The small one (Craftsman) weighs 30#. The other one weighs 50#. I think someone was a little bit careless with their drilling on the large one.

This was a Lot I got from an auction last month that was titled, Pile of Old Tools. And it was just stuff they'd thrown in a corner of a large outbuilding. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I love C-clamps so this was like BINGO! to me.
