Retired (mostly) accessibility pro. I love your pet pictures.
You may know me from the other place as sarahebourne. I try not to post about politics, but it can be hard when it affects people's lives and well-being. I like cats, dogs, birds, live music, and the interesting things people do and make.

Harvard University is offering a free online course on the U.S. Constitution, taught by my friend and mentor Thomas Patterson. Understanding our Constitution has rarely been more important. Here's how you can enroll. https://www.edx.org/learn/government/harvard-university-american-government-constitutional-foundations
HarvardX: American Government: Constitutional Foundations | edX

Learn how early American politics informed the U.S. Constitution and why its promise of liberty and equality has yet to be fully realized.

This is so cool! Watch what happens when I water some dried-out moss. (3-minute time lapse) 🌱

PSA: if you take basically any medication, you should check before you drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruit. It contains an enzyme which interferes with your stomach's ability to metabolize medications, and it can lead to overdosing on *a lot* of drugs. Check before you risk it, because not all meds carry this warning that should.

Hops does not involve the same risks, obviously, though alcohol and meds are a standard risk that you shouldn't take lightly.

I took the afternoon off yesterday to catch the matinee showing of "Project Hail Mary" at an old fashioned theater. I really enjoyed it, but I wish Hollywood would stop using aliens for slapstick comic relief - show a little respect! (To be fair, the human was, too.)

I was making my morning coffee when I noticed that something had caught the attention of Hilo (a cat) who was out on the screen porch.
It wasn't the crouch she assumes for small birds and squirrels nor the very still loaf of bread for turkeys. She sat up, ears pointed forward, like when spotting a person she likes.
I went to look, and it was a very elegant fox trotting across the yard! She's been looking for the fox to re-appear all* day!

I've known Matt for years and am confident in saying this is a legitimate request.

A compelling title that is cryptic enough to get you to take action on it

An enticing social media preview summary.

I’m soliciting volunteers for an anti-fascist project. The goal is to beat the bastards.

The needed skills are:

* Social media APIs
* Social media data engineering and analysis
* Cloud engineering
* AI engineering, including model training, text generation, image generation and video generation

Are you great at any of these things? Are you fed up with the dipshit fascists running your country, but you don’t know what to do about it? Reply with your Signal ID.

I spent some enjoyable time today just watching a crow stroll across my yard, grabbing last year's fallen oak leaves and flipping them in the air. S/he was rewarded every now and again by a tasty bug that had been hiding underneath.
