Evil Genius Chronicles Podcast for February 13 2026 - Who Cares What Route the Turd Took to the Punchbowl?Download audio

On this show, I play a song from The Arts and Sciences; I spent one of my best nights out seeing The Arts and Sciences open for the Indigo Girls; I am currently taking a beekeeping certification course; I will be buying two nucs of bees plus lots of gear; I believe your garb should be politically neutral in unrelated public outreach; I made a Mastodon post that got an atypically large response and yet did not enjoy it; the anti-trans talking points of today were popularized by Jeffrey Epstein 15 years ago; I got Github Actions working to build and publish this here Eleventy site; I added search to this here Eleventy site; I enjoy the Vito X Dino podcast but had to protect myself from large episode dumps; is milk violence and is that a serious position? I was and am a fan of Harvey Pekar but my one chance to meet him I chickened out; I used to work rotating shifts in a chemical factory; XMas week was the best work week of the year; I read the Harvey Pekar story "Snow Day" at work in almost the identical situation Harvey was in for the story.

Veronica Explains (@[email protected])

Stop telling me about Kagi. I'm not going to use it. 1. They pay Brave, that makes me feel icky for a lot of reasons that you probably already have opinions about (not interested in debating and will not respond). 2. They make a big stink about "no politics", which is a red flag if you ask me (particularly in light of their "humanizing search" claims). 3. Pushing so-called "AI" nonsense 4. Argued *against* providing mental health resources in response to certain queries. Hard pass, muting now.

I stream nothing, and I am happy.

👏 We're going to see a lot more of this methinks.

One of my favourite peertube channels btw is #VeronicaExplains who in this inspiring video, explains how she makes all her vids on #linux. If I ever get more time, I will seriously follow some of these recommendations - I'm already a fan of KDE. tilvids.com/w/p4pRnBvNGG...

You know what I'd love to see?

A #VeronicaExplains series on Kdenlive. I'm pretty sure it's what she uses, and she is such a joy to learn things from.

She also seems to have a very "this is the way I use it, and the parts of it I use" air about herself, which is exactly how I view most software.
