Here’s a photo of our Maine Coon “kitten” a month ago, usurping the Shephard/Huskie’s dog bed. Cat’s now the same size as our other dog, a Shiba Inu (not shown), and still growing!

The blue tits must be creating a very cosy nest in the new nest box. I thought they’d finished but no, more moss going in today. Every now and then one of the pair sticks their head out and spits out a bit of material that obviously didn’t pass the quality control test.
The box is outside the kitchen window so we can watch all the activity while doing the washing up.

I went out to feed the hedgehogs a little while ago and was distracted by a ruckus in the big oak tree. A pair of red kites mating. It really is all go round here.
I was struggling to find time to visit my allocated raptor monitoring area last year so I’ve changed to one that includes my garden. Much easier!
