First, we explain the package methods and demonstrate how #gtfs2gps can be used to articulate key concepts in #TimeGeography to explore and visualize the spatial and temporal patterns of public transport networks. Figures show the space-time paths and Bundling of trips #rayshader

#Introduction take two.

I'm a research & data analyst for @sciencemagazine where I'm immersed in the world of #scholarly #publishing, #ethics, #policy, #DEI, #SciComm, & of course #data.

I'm trained as an #archaeologist & I've researched #spatial dimensions of #craft #practice in 1st mill BC #britain focused on #ancient #metallurgy #metalworking via lens of #experimental #archaeology & #TimeGeography.

Here's 10 years of me in my natural habitats.

In the end, we decided to include both the 2D and 3D versions of this figure because each of them draws attention to different but equally important aspects of our findings

Including this figure in a paper. Should we go with 2D or 3D? #timegeography

The figure shows how the frequency of public transport services varies across the day in regions of different income levels. Figure by @joaopbazzo using #rstats #ggplot2

Very glad to share that our paper introducing the #gtfs2gps package in #rstats has been accepted for publication in a special issue on #TimeGeography edited by @paezha in @JGeoSys.

Excited to announce a new paper by
@UrbanDemog et al. (coming up in
Journal of Geographical Systems) that presents a new #RStats 📦 to convert #GTFS transit feeds to #GPS-like data. This conversion is very useful to understand the #TimeGeography of public transportation systems.
