MonicaTonight I hosted a #TasLUG meetup in #Hobart, which is the first meeting weβve have in over 5 years ( yes pre covid times ). 18 amazing people headed out to enjoy some networking with like minded people, to listen to myself and @kgoetz give some talk summaries from #EO2025, and share some pizza and drinks. It was great to see some younger people (high schoolers) coming along and joining in too. My cup is feeling full tonight.

Thinking some more today about #Mastodon displaying posts (yesterday: https://aus.social/@kgoetz/114067206335352070 ), Iβm realising Mastodon posts ( #activititypub in general?) match #email threads closer than they do interactive chat.
So really #Masto / AP posts should be displayed more as tributes to #FlyingSpaghettiMonster, #FSM , in cascades like His #Noodly Appendages (aka, Directed Acyclic Graphs).
Nothing like preparing a presentation for #TasLUG to ensure my mind will prioritise topics like this π

You know what I would like? Top to bottom scroll for #mastodon posts, ideally pages so it isn't continuous ( I accept that might be controversial though). #pachli and the official web client don't have it as an option.
