Just got myself a #UGREEN DXP2800 with 2x 2 TBB HDD for ~ 650 Euro.
Cheaper than I feared, but of course still a chunk of money.
Replaced my old #SynologyNAS .
Doing mobile photo sync from ios with #PhotoSync (small annual fee); replaced the Syn.Drive and iCloud.
#Jellyfin replaced #Plex for me.
Due to “docker” option on NAS very versatile for me.

I'd like to point it to a folder on my Linux desktop, and have it process the audio files I make into text. Even better if I could schedule this to happen automatically. Double plus good if it could do different things with my voice files depending on a verbal subject heading in each file. Andreas VoitEigentlich wollte ich mich heute erholen, da ich gestern solange wach war wegen Zweit-Smartphone aufsetzen.
Aber kurz vorm Laptop abdrehen einen großen Fehler gemacht: Update von #syncthing auf meinem #SynologyNAS . Die neueste Version scheint nicht mehr zu starten. ☹️
Downgrade auf die Vorgängerversion ohne Datenverlust war leider nicht möglich. Muss die Ordnerkonfiguration wieder neu machen.
Framework und Zweit-Smartphone passen wieder; Morgen muss ich die Fairphones meiner Eltern wieder ergänzen.
Den Spaß habe ich jetzt noch gebraucht, not. 😟
Aber jetzt bin ich komplett ko.

Yehor 🇺🇦I haven't used #SynologyNAS for a long time, and today I decided to check the #SynologyPhotos release notes to see what new features were added during that period.
It's nothing. The last new feature was added in version 1.8.0-10070, when I was still using it. Almost a year ago, on April 16 2025.
It seems that #Synology is no longer suitable for personal use.
