Yesterday was Anti-Slavery Day. According to the United Nations, an estimated 50 million people are in modern slavery around the world.
Here in Somerset, people have been fighting against the enslavement of human beings for centuries. I’d like to honour some women in Somerset who fought against slavery. Here are some quick facts about them.

traffic jam from Wamuran to Caboolture and Sunshine Coast to Caboolture round 9am today was dreadful - obviously everyone is driving to Caboolture to catch train or get work or attend school or go to hospital or go shopping - jobs, services and shops need to be more in the regions to stop this traffic jam - sadly everyone commutes from their regional centres to hubs to get infrastructure and services and shops - poor urban planning leads to congestion on roads which will only get worse as population increases up to #brisbane #olympics and beyond #trafficjam #caboolture #moretonbay #sunshinecoast #somerset
