Zoom's AI Companion was able to tell me what I needed to do to turn it off. Go to the web portal's account settings page. "2 sources", it notes.

For what it's worth, I'm adding this to the copyright page of my books from now on:

#OnThisDay in 1866:

❤️ Mumu (aka Annie Jane Elwin) passed away at the #Bath Institution for the Blind and Deaf.

🇸🇱 Born in Sierra Leone, as a young child, she was kidnapped by slavers and put on board a slave ship.

⚓️ The ship was then rescued by the West Africa Squadron and she was taken to the Church Missionary School at Charlotte village in Sierra Leone.

🇬🇧 When she was about 11, she was invited to study at the Bath Institution, where she thrived.

This easy walk from East Quantoxhead in #Somerset is a mix of coastal footpath, countryside and interesting churches. Along the way is all that remains of the Somerset Oil Boom (that never was!), a good view of the Bristol Channel and the Wales coast. 🗓 Today in 1993, Kathleen Tacchi-Morris died in North Curry.

🌎 One of the wonderful things she did was to set up a Trust to establish creative exchanges between students in Britain and those across the world. She declared, “Future generations will need lots of help to deal with environmental problems and world peace. I just want to spread peace after I peg it.”

#Capitalism is a heartless monster, killing everything that stands in the way of profits.

#Onthisday in 1765, the last “witch” was burnt in #Somerset.

➡️ Mary Norwood, living in Axbridge, was accused of killing her husband with witchy poison.

➡️ On 8th May in Ilchester, she prayed and sang a hymn – amazing she could find any voice at such a time. Then, she was garrotted and her dead body was burnt to ashes.

➡️ People believed that by burning her body she wouldn’t come back as a ghost!

#OnThisDay, John Harris died in Frome in 1940. His wife, Alice Seeley Harris, had lived in #Frome as a teenager. Pictured is Frome in 1891.

They travelled to the #Congo as missionaries and discovered Belgian men committing crimes against humanity towards Congolese people, making them work as slaves to collect rubber. Horrified, Alice documented the atrocities by taking photos. This eventually helped spark change in the Congo.
