SMD soldering using the sun.
it works astonishingly well. the trick is to de-focus the spot and light up the whole PCB. first we failed by heating the metal plate underneath with a highly focused spot. but that led to accidentally burnt PCB spots at corners and didn't melt the paste.
it works so much better than using a hot plate, so I officially declare it state of the art as of today.

Ah je vous mets une petite pépite de #GALÈRE, parfois ça arrive et là c’est immortalisé dans un film ! 😅 Soudure d’un condensateur SMD, une des pastilles est reliée à un plan de masse, ce qui a pour effet de dissiper rapidement la chaleur et de gêner la soudure. Mon fil de soudure est un poil gros (⌀ 0,5 mm) et difficile à doser, je n’en avais probablement pas mis assez pour commencer. Le liquide répandu au début, c’est du flux de #soudure, ça aide à faire baisser la tension superficielle du mélange en fusion.
C95 juste au-dessus, qui présente les mêmes caractéristiques, a été soudé sans anicroche.
