AGI - I dati del World Economic Forum segnalano che il tasso di occupazione femminile è inferiore del 20% rispetto a quello maschile. E ancora una differenza di stipendio del 17% tra i due sessi. Statistiche che da sole basterebbero per far comprendere la questione della parità di genere. Però, oltre ai dati, ci sono percezioni, stereotipi e pregiudizi che frenano la piena uguaglianza tra donne e uomini. Questi i temi al centro dell'evento "Parità di genere nell'impresa", che si è svolto ieri al museo Castromediano di Lecce, al quale hanno partecipato tra gli altri Silvia Salis, sindaca di Genova, e Antonio Decaro, presidente della Regione Puglia. A moderare i lavori, Rita Lofano, direttrice dell'AGI.
"Quando sento un uomo dire che le quote rosa sono inutili sono perplessa. Quando a dirlo sono le donne mi viene la pelle d'oca", ha detto la prima cittadina del capoluogo ligure, facendo poi riferimento alla sua precedente esperienza nella dirigenza sportiva. "Se in quell'ambito non fossero state introdotte le quote di genere le dirigenti sarebbero zero. Però - ha domandato in seguito - chi può fare il presidente di una società sportiva? Chi può dedicare il proprio tempo libero ai figli degli altri? Gli uomini". Tornando ai dati Salis fa riferimento ai "3,3 milioni di inattivi in età da lavoro per motivi familiari in Italia. Non cercano un'occupazione perché hanno altro da fare", per esempio "curarsi della famiglia. Di questi 3,1 milioni sono donne. Quando c'è un tema di cura all'interno della famiglia - ha spiegato - è sempre la donna che non lavora o smette di farlo".
Il divario occupazionale in Puglia
Un ragionamento a cui ha fatto eco il presidente pugliese: "Se andiamo a guardare i dati della nostra Regione ci accorgiamo che su 1,3 milioni di occupati, poco più di 400.000 sono donne. Parliamo di un divario altissimo, più che doppio". Nel passaggio successivo Decaro ha ricordato che "stiamo per festeggiare gli 80 anni del diritto di voto alle donne in Italia. Una possibilità straordinaria che - ha sottolineato - non è stata una concessione. Quella è stata una forma di resistenza da parte delle donne che si sono conquistate quel diritto".

“When I hear a man say that quotas for women are useless, I am perplexed. When a woman says it, it chills me to the bone,” said the Mayor of the Ligurian capital, later referring to her previous experience in sports management. “If quotas had not been introduced in that area, the female managers would be zero. However – she asked afterward – who can be the president of a sports society? Who can dedicate their free time to the children of others? Men.” Returning to the data, Salis refers to “3.3 million inactive in working age for family reasons in Italy. They don’t seek employment because they have something else to do,” for example “caring for the family. Of these 3.1 million, 2.1 million are women. When there is a care issue within the family – she explained – it is always the woman who does not work or stops doing so.”
The employment gap in Puglia
A line of reasoning echoed by the Apulian president: “If we look at the data for our region, we see that out of 1.3 million employed people, just over 400,000 are women. We are talking about a very high gap, more than double.” In the subsequent passage, Decaro recalled that “we are about to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the right for women to vote in Italy. An extraordinary opportunity that – he emphasized – was not a concession. That was a form of resistance by women who fought to earn that right.”

AGI - Una maxi tavolata con 5mila commensali tra i caruggi di Genova: nella serata di sabato si è rinnovato con numeri record l'appuntamento annuale della cena condivisa nel capoluogo ligure, organizzata da volontari, comitati e associazioni del centro storico per far vivere la "città vecchia". Tra i partecipanti, anche la sindaca Silvia Salis e alcuni componenti della giunta.

"La cena condivisa è un gesto collettivo che racconta il volto più autentico di Genova - ha detto la prima cittadina - Vedere migliaia di persone sedersi una accanto all'altra nei nostri vicoli, condividere un piatto, una parola, un sorriso, significa restituire ai caruggi la loro vocazione naturale di luoghi vissuti, aperti, attraversati da relazioni umane e da una socialità positiva". Prenotazioni sold-out
La cena condivisa, che ha il patrocinio del Comune, quest'anno ha visto le prenotazioni già sold-out dopo poche ore: la lunghissima tavolata ha unito i sestieri, da piazza San Giorgio fino alla Commenda di Pre' con sapori locali ed esotici, dal pesto al cous cous. Per la prima volta, i tavoli sono arrivati anche nell'area da via San Luca e Banchi fino a Campetto. Come da tradizione, cibo e bevande sono stati forniti dai commensali: c’è chi ha scelto di portarle da casa e chi ha invece voluto acquistarli nei negozi della zona, con l'obiettivo di sostenere il commercio locale.
Per la sindaca "tutte le istituzioni devono fare ogni sforzo possibile per rendere i vicoli ogni giorno più sicuri, più puliti, più vivibili da tutte e tutti. E la risposta entusiasta dei genovesi - conclude - conferma che c'e' un grande desiderio di vivere gli spazi pubblici in modo condiviso, accogliente e sostenibile, valorizzando anche il commercio di vicinato e costruendo legami tra persone".

Bookings Sold Out
The shared dinner, which has the patronage of the Municipality, this year saw bookings sold out after just a few hours: the very long table brought together the sestieri (districts) from Piazza San Giorgio to the Commenda di Pre’ with local and exotic flavors, from pesto to couscous. For the first time, the tables also arrived in the area from Via San Luca and Banchi to Campetto. As tradition dictates, food and drinks were provided by the diners: some chose to bring them from home and others instead wanted to buy them in local shops, with the aim of supporting local trade.
For the mayor “all institutions must do everything possible to make the alleys safer, cleaner, more livable for everyone every day. And the enthusiastic response of the Genoese – she concludes – confirms that there is a great desire to live public spaces in a shared, welcoming and sustainable way, also valuing neighborhood trade and building bonds between people.”
