The Moqeva are the bogeymen of Lashunta legend, whom they warred to extinction back in the Age of the Warrior-Queen. in my ongoing creative worldbuilding exercise so far, two of my characters have met Moqeva. Lady Vaeol met an ancient, crippled relic hiding in a cave in Candares and, after learning its tale, spared its life. Taiase was imprisoned by the Moqeva, where under whatever unspeakable deeds they did, put her into stasis twelve thousand years ago.

In legend, the #lashunta ascribe the most abominable sins to the Moqeva: the invention of Mold Storms, communion with the denizens of the Outer Darkness, to say nothing of eating Lashunta and hunting them for sport. Yet what is the truth?
