I'm looking for recommendations for inexpensive but reliable ARM / fanless small server at the lowest cost possible. The software on it will be debian/ Yunohost (a git forge, nextcloud, some internal docomentation, etc).
Min-specs: 4-8GB RAM.
Budget: Hopefully under $250, or something I can find in the used market.
I was told rasberry pi's are not as reliable, is there better?

So you have a Cute Homelab and you want to use it to secure your services and containers with x509 certificates? But your homelab isn’t on the internet, so you can’t simply use LetsEncrypt? Well. You can become your own LetsEncrypt and hand out certificates with certbot. You “just” need to run your own CA (Certificate Authority). Sounds frightening and complicated? It kinda is, but not really when you use step-ca, an open source solution that you can run in a container.

Bei mir ist caddy dafür zuständig SSL zur Verfügung zu stellen und manche services extern zugänglich zu machen. U.a. nextcloud 😉
Das ist das schöne am #selhosting jede wie sie/er möchte. Und in der individuellen Geschwindigkeit.

A little update on the #Plex (and Jelly) transcoding for the #synology #x25 models, DS425+ and DS225+.
A new version of the i915.ko version has been published (the #BeestationPlus one) that now supports #HDR tone mapping correctly.
Article has been updated and it is referring to this as a "v2" solution. v1 solution is still posted as a fail safe until some github scripts have been updated to the new solution.
