I often receive messages that one or two of many services are unavailable at night. 99.9% of cases the service is unavailable due to the backup process. I will try to create a backup tab where you will be able to check when the backup process starts for a specific service. Today you can check the status of services using the link below:

Dangit. I disabled the grandfathered (meaning free) #webhook integration on #uptimerobot because it was pointed to #gotify. The literal next day the stupid #vibecode #ntfy update came out.. Now I can't reactivate the webhook without paying them.
What a stupid stupid business. For (I checked) a full decade, I used to use them at work explicitly because they were good to homelabs and I used it on my homelab. (Even when their app could only handle one account. Even when they were unstable.) Never again.
Is there anyone else out there who does basic
#healthchecks for non-commercial for free, with gotify or webhook support? I don't care about "at work" anymore. I just want a fallback that I'm not hosting, to check on the things that I am hosting.

In a matter of minutes I've been able to copy all my monitors from #uptimerobot to #uptimekuma .

I am just astounded this still worked, flawlessly, immediately, just... amazed.

Been receiving emails from UptimeRobot for a few days saying that my site is down, then up again. I thought that my server was having issues, or that I was being sieged by scrapers again.

But today I found out that UptimeRobot is changing the IP addresses for their checkers and some of those IPs are in the StopForumSpam daily lists.

After getting the updated IP list from https://uptimerobot.com/help/locations/ and adding them to the allowlist of my firewall, the alerts are gone.

Locations and IPs | UptimeRobot

If you get any false positives, there is a strong chance that the IPs used are blocked by your hosting provider. Make sure that you allow-list these IPs!

It's interesting how Uptime Robot used to be a solid monitoring platform and then they entered their enshittification phase and now it's nothing but false alerts.
