Ralph HogaboomFinished "How to Measure Anything in #Cybersecurity #Risk" book this AM. As a #securityarchitect, it really helped encourage me. The key points 1) it's about reducing uncertainty, not atomically precise numbers; & 2) I don't need huge amounts of data to extract valid measurements, and I have more data avail already than I think I do - were both HUGELY comforting and helpful.
Oh, and lastly - metrics are for decisions, that's it. If they don't lead to decisions, why collect them?
