Finally finished the book I'd started during the reading retreat last weekend. Letters From the Ginza Shihodo Stationery Shop by Kenji Ueda was such a wonderful little book, comforting and hopeful vibes through and through.
Each chapter was about a different customer at the stationery shop who maybe needed a bit of encouragement and advice and the shopkeeper was there to give it (and the correct tools to write things down of course).
Here's a lovely good news story:
Residents of all ages in a small Michigan community formed a human chain and helped a local bookshop move each of its 9,100 books – one by one – to a new storefront about a block away.
Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men.

Six years of on and off #reading and I’ve finally gotten to the end of the beautiful, crazy tome that is Lucy Ellmann’s Ducks, Newburyport.
If you didn’t know, the whole book is almost entirely composed of one sentence over nearly 1000 pages.
Because I invariably have up to five books on the go, I've also started reading this.
