Today we celebrate St. Gertrude the Great. #saintgertrude
She was a highly learned female author, #mystic and nun in the 13th century.
She was also the inspiration for the establishment of a monastery I visited often when I did my exchange at Whitworth Univeristy in Spokane WA; the Monastery of St. Gertrude in Cottonwood, Idaho. I will cherish these sisters and their community of some 50 professed Benedictine nuns, dearly! Hence, reasons for #RawCake #fika at #aboakademi #womentheologians
