I saw the NOAA is conducting a survey regarding NOAA Weather Radio to collect information that will be used in their modernization efforts of same.

Since Canada has shut their "Weatheradio" system down, I am glad that the NOAA is seeking to update this system rather than dismantle it.

It only took me a minute to reply. The survey closes in two days, don't put it off.

NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) User Survey

A Federal agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to, nor shall a person be subject to a penalty for failure to comply with an information collection subject to the requirements of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 unless the information collection has a currently valid OMB Control Number. The approved OMB Control Number for this information collection is 0690-0030 with Expiration Date: 7/31/2026. Without this approval, we could not conduct this survey. Public reporting for this information collection is estimated to be approximately 15 minutes per response, including the time for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining the data needed, and completing and reviewing the information collection. All responses to this information collection are voluntary. Send comments regarding this burden estimate or any other aspect of this information collection, including suggestions for reducing this burden to Brian Miretzky ([email protected]). Introduction: NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards (NWR) is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information directly from the nearest National Weather Service (NWS) office. NWR broadcasts official NWS warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As we look to modernize the NWR service we are asking for feedback on usage to help us plan for the future. This survey will be open through May 28th, 2026.

Seems like Finnish government want to kill YLE (public TV broadcaster) by not forcing the building companies to ensure that YLE can be watched https://valtioneuvosto.fi/hanke?tunnus=LVM002:00/2024 The excuse seems very bad, that this "limits the development of cable broadband services" when most people is not using even a 10% of current network capacity at home, how many download at 100Mbps when fibre optic can transfer up to 10.000Mbps easily

@norwin yes, that is a problem!

Just like #HDMI is being used to kill #VCR's...

Now one needs to literally crack #HDCP to even record console gameplay or #unencrypted #PublicBroadcast|s...

I just wished #HDSDI over #Fiber would've become the standard instead.

Thank You
