The #Missouri State Fair Director's House along U.S. Route 65 in #Sedalia was built in 1915, but hadn't been occupied full-time for over two decades. Outgoing director Mark Wolfe said the structure was beyond repair, leading to its demolition Wednesday. A new restroom facility for the nearby Nucor Director's Pavilion will go in its place.

A new classic rock and country event called the #Mozark Music Festival will make its way to #Sedalia next year. Headliners included several acts from the 70s and tribute bands, but organizers say they'll have more than just music during the three-day event set to take place on the #Missouri State Fairgrounds.

Rain this morning in #Sedalia has resulted in the postponement of today's #Missouri State Fair Shoot Out Truck & Tractor Pull. As a result, both pulling events at #MSF121 will take place Monday, with the shoot out from 10a and the Pro Pulling League running as scheduled from 6p.

Triple-digit heat isn't deterring 4-H and #FFA members this weekend, as #equine contests again kick off competitions at the 121st #Missouri #StateFair (#MSF121 ) in #Sedalia. The fair itself won't officially open until August 10th, but several contests will take place before the first tickets are scanned at the gate.
