Attempting to make grape jam today. Got the steps out and headed up into the pergola and found So Many Grapes. The picked grapes in the jam pan are just the ones that were easiest to get to - the pergola has a wire mesh on top and most of the grapes are actually the wrong side of that for me to pick.

First batch of green tomato chutney in the jar. It already has a nice bite to it, but it'll need a few months to mature properly.

Because I didn't have enough tomatoes to deal with ALREADY, I just went and bought two bushels of San Marzano tomatoes.

The first picture shows the ones I bought, all other photos are things I grew.

Yes, it is home #preserves season again.

This one is Rum Peach Preserves, and is a very old-school recipe. There is fruit, brown sugar, dark rhum, and lemon juice. That is all.

It made 2.5 pints. Plus a wee bit for taste testing.
