George MacgregorI love marmalade. It is another of my vices, alongside beer, liquorice, and pastries -- the Danish curse! 😀 Anyway, I received an utterly humongous jar of #marmalade at Christmas. I'm working through it but I don't think I'll consume it all before it expires. And I don't think the photos here do its size justice. I mean, just look at it?! I included a mug in the second photo to indicate scale, but the jar still appears smaller than reality! Delicious though. Grapefruit and ginger. #preserves
Made three pints of bittersweet pink grapefruit marmalade.
2 grapefruit boiled whole for two hours. Sliced up fine and combined with
5cups sugar
Juice of two lemons
Cooked to 220F

Put my dinner in the slow cooker. Leftover roast beef, home canned garden tomatoes and salsa (last jar from 2024), guajillo + 2 x garden salsa peppers, spices.
Comfort food for a cold night.
