Okay, the next addition to "Saga does Linux": yesterday my Bluetooth mouse stopped working. Something about the Bluez daemon not running? After trying to do rfkill and unblock in terminal I read online that it was a known hardware problem with Asus. I did a cold boot and it worked again. Then I got problems with my wifi. Is that because both Bluetooth and my network are on 2.4ghz? My computer was quite far from the router at the time.

#linux #pop_os #COSMICDesktop is breaking me. You can't even hold control to drag and drop copy files in their file browser. This needs more time in the oven sorry. It's definitely snappy! But I guess that's not hard when you rip out so much functionality

Ich habe mir letztes Jahr, als ich von Windows 11 umgestiegen bin, selbst verschiedene Distris angesehen, ohne vorher im Netz zu gucken, welche wohl für mich die beste ist.
Von Ubuntu war ich noch nie begeistert. Mint bspw. finde ich für meine Belange absolut überdimensioniert. Unter cachyOS ist meine Notizbuch-App, von der ich eine Lifetime-Version besitze, nicht gelaufen.

Schlussendlich bin ich für meinen Tower bei ZorinOS gelandet und für den Lappi bei PopOS. Beide Distris bieten mir auf den beiden Geräten das, was ich für diese haben will.

Bueno, pues yo creo que le he sido fiel a #Pop_OS por encima de mis posibilidades y ya toca cambiar porque eso de lanzar una beta sin terminar de Cosmic como si fuese estable como broma está bien pero por desgracia no es una broma, así que me planteo instalar nueva distro en mi pc de jugar, y aquí es donde pregunto si alguien de les presentes ha probado #bazzite.

Muchas gracias a los que os habéis pasado a echar un vistazo!!! La prueba de streaming de gameplay de Xbox a peertube a sido un éxito, no se ha colgado en ningún momento, se escuchaba bien todo (hasta a mi refunfuñar por lo manquísimo que soy)...

Cedilla - A markdown text editor for the COSMIC™ desktop, has been released on Flathub.

Hi, today I'm announcing a new app I've made for COSMIC™. Cedilla is a simple Markdown text editor that supports HTML and Markdown. Markdown is converted to HTML using comrak. HTML is parsed using html5ever, from the Servo project. The resulting DOM is rendered directly to libcosmic widgets using a custom renderer.

Ich habe gestern meinen Mini-PC plattgemacht und mal Pop!_OS draufgeschmissen. Ging fix und war nicht kompliziert.
Hytale habe ich dann als erstes Spiel installiert. Das lief zwar, benahm sich im Vollbildmodus aber komisch. Bild war plötzlich weg, ich war wieder auf dem Desktop, Spiel lief aber im Hintergrund weiter (konnte ich hören). Leider kam ich an den Prozess nicht mehr dran und musste es "abwürgen".
Ma schauen.
