Fossman@Prometheus @itsfoss In a manner of thinking, #Pop_OS and #TuxedoOS are the the ideal distros to use as the companies that make them are the most heavily invested in #desktopLinux and it being core to their business.

El problema no fue el tiempo de instalación, sino el tiempo que luego perdía resolviendo problemas del día a día. Y con hijo, trabajo, pareja... ese tiempo ya no existe 😅
Al final encontré Pop!_OS buscando compatibilidad con NVIDIA. Llevo dos años con él, ahora con COSMIC, y sinceramente... me encanta probar cosas nuevas pero el tiempo disponible ya no es el que era (abuelo cebolleta XD).
Con Pop!_OS tengo una solución para el día a día: me vale para lo básico y para lo avanzado. Estoy editando video con Shotcut, streameando con OBS y editando audio con Audacity, todo con aceleración por hardware y como la seda.
No lo cambio ni "pa atrás"

doomchild@jameshowell @debacle I was dual-booting W11 and #Pop_os for about a year, and I had a pretty good time with it. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure System76 is going to have to comply with these laws (which I completely understand).
I think the last time I used just straight #debian was around 2015. Maybe it's time to go back to basics.
@ecadre It seems like several distros that descend from #Debian are going to comply with the age attestation laws (and I completely understand why a commercial entity would feel the need to do so). I suspect that #Ubuntu will follow through on their dbus thing, which elementaryOS will almost certainly use. #Pop_os will probably have to do something, even if they succeed at getting Colorado to ease off. I haven't seen a statement from #linux_mint, but I have a hard time believing they'd buck what Ubuntu does.
