Definitely bugs with individual apps. #Obsidian seems especially angry, caused a full desktop crash and sometimes the window buttons stop working.
#Nextcloud also unhappy and won't show the main window at all, so I can't use it effectively (can't resolve file conflicts etc.).
Panel icons seem to be troublesome with Discord, protonvpn.... the icon menus just seem to be nonfunctional in some cases.
Panel behavior is annoying.... keeps filling space to the right but not to the left leaving a very uncentered look and premature icon collapsing.
I tried a `pop-upgrade release upgrade -f` and it seemed to do a lot of stuff but reported failure. On reboot it had completely wiped my #Librewolf installation? Had to re-install from flatpak.
Still enjoying it a lot more than #gnome and it's so fast. I found the theming support and installed "cosmic tweaks" for more theme control. Still not close to Windows theming but it gives basic theming control.
Looking forward to full release.

Now I exist.
Cosmix-Saigon is up for grabs! It is a custom spin on NixOS, using the Cosmic desktop environment, changing channels and using the latest kernel.
It is based on the Nixbook project by @codemonkeymike
The goal is to make a set-and-forget setup, where both the OS and the applications (flatpaks) are updated automagically.
RMFM and get going, you can find it at (https://codeberg.org/thesaigoneer/cosmix-saigon) and jump into that Cosmic beta!
So far, the only major issue I've had running the beta of COSMIC in Pop OS is that of printing support. Fortunately, this is a known issue, with printing support to be added later.
I also use abraunegg's version of the onedrive client, which doesn't seem to be running in the background automatically. Launching the monitor via the terminal works.
So, after nearly a week of use, I'm overall pretty happy with it despite its shortcomings as beta software. Can't wait for its full release!
