Not an easy plate to take an attractive picture of, but my wife made me tofu and cauliflower katsu with Mac salad (Hawaiian style) for my b-day.

Plate lunch is my comfort food, nostalgia food, tasty food. Complete with a copycat l&l katsu sauce.

Weird schedule today meant that I forgot to eat lunch.

Now in the waiting room at the vet (planned visit) and the TV is showing all food shows -- right now with (I kid you not) a #LocoMoco that looks super legit and I am DROOLING.

Funny enough, we aren't far from the only #PlateLunch place in about 200 miles...

Vegetarian Oyster Mushroom Tonkatsu to share with my family in celebration of the life of the man (my father) who inspired my passion for cooking. Some of my favorite memories with my father involve learning how to recreate my favorite childhood meals enjoyed while growing up in Hawaii. L&L Katsu plate lunch will always have a special place in my heart, and making it/ eating it always makes me think back fondly on the memories I have enjoying this meal with my father and family. 🍛🍄🤤💙
