I’ve got two updates today: one frustrating, one great.

First – artist missed the pre-agreed deadline, dropped a "will send when it's ready" at the end of the day, and then went silent. Not ideal.
Second – oyster mushroom mycelium is actively taking over the cardboard!

Biology is definitely more reliable than some humans right now, tbh.

Decided to get back into growing oyster mushrooms on cardboard yesterday. No photos today, but trust me: the mycelium is already waking up and getting beautifully fluffy.

It’s so satisfying to watch them slowly colonize their new home. While the internet is busy with toxic noise and unsolicited advice, I’m just enjoying this quiet, steady biological expansion in a dark corner. Pure zen.

We harvested the second crop of mushrooms from the mushroom kits today. We got one large mushroom from each kit and a few smaller ones from the pearl kit. I think we might have left them a little too long, I was hoping some of the smaller ones would grow bigger, but they didn't.

#Austernseitling en lernen können und hoffe das jetzt low tech mit immer weniger aufwand nebenher weiterlaufen zu lassen… weil zeitweise war das eine ziemliche Wissenschaft aber es soll ja einfach ein bisschen gutes Essen sein das möglichst aus Abfällen wächst ….
