A 50% increase for gas tax puts more pressure on rural folk than urban people.

There should be a population-based sliding scale, from 50% in the largest metros, decreasing to 10% or less for the rural and 'frontier' areas per census definitions. Hurts farmers, too.

Rural areas benefit from increased plowing and maintenance, but this is not equal, it's a tax on poor people. Cities and their tax bases need to keep helping out our neighbors.

I have mixed feels about this proposed ballot measure….

On one hand yay - remove the $100m cap - increase the tax above $25m - clear out some taxes below that.

On the other hand - 3% on all *revenue* over $25m seems like it will just cause a 3% across the board increase from any large business - which likely all gets trickled down to everyone. Also $750 per YEAR is NOT UBI.
