It's official. I am now a proud owner of a Fairphone 6. Let's see how long can I keep it running. My previous phone was #OnePlus5T, it lasted about 8~9 years and still works, but got really slow and memory-restricted (64 GB storage, no sdcard). I am looking into repurposing the old OnePlus as a small server using #PostmarketOS. We'll see. So far the FairPhone 6 works fantastic. I am very fond of the 120 Hz OLED display on it.

Hab jetzt mal zum Vergleich auf einem 6 Jahre alten #Oneplus5T #eos installiert, weil mich mein neues #Fairphone5 irgendwie nicht umhaut :/
Will jetzt mal durch einen direkten Vergleich rausfinden, ob ich mich einfach nur mit der Umgewöhnung schwer tue ...oder manche Dinge doch kaputt sind.

Die Handy-Reparatur war schwierig. Beim #oneplus5t gibt es 2 Torx-Schrauben neben der Ladebuchse, die Vorder- und Rückseite zusammen halten. Eine davon war schon so kaputt, dass sie sich nicht mehr rausdrehen ließ. Es half nur den Kunststoffhalter an der anderen Seite kaputt zu machen, so dass sie raus ging.

Leider war neben dem Display auch das Antennenkabel kaputt. Deshalb hab ich jetzt kein Mobilfunknetz mehr.

So I have an old #oneplus5t... I've been messing around with #ubports and #ubuntutouch 20.04. Its a great UI, but not a deep enough app ecosystem to use it as a daily driver (at least not for me anyway). What else are people doing with their old phones? I could just flash #lineageos 19.1 and #NikGapps and keep it as a "complete" spare phone... but that's boring. What other interesting things are people doing with still good but out-of-support phones?

does anyone have an idea of what could be causing the mobile data issue on my oneplus 5t? i don't think it's the fact that it's modded, because I tried like a year ago with lineageos, rooted and bootloader unlocked, with twrp installed, and it worked fine. after that it just stopped working

Nachdem der USB-C Anschluss an meinem #oneplus5t immer mehr aufgibt habe ich jetzt ein @Fairphone bestellt. Versuchen, das Oneplus zu #reparieren werde ich trotzdem.
