The Cumberland Nature Trail, St. Vincent

What began as a search for a rare parrot became a hike through tropical green, full of guavas, old friendships, and quiet epiphanies. On the Cumberland Trail in St. Vincent, the forest didn’t give me the perfect bird photo. It gave me something better.

This is Ba Bridge
The bridge over the River Ba on the old motor road to Glencoe.

I do like stumbling across a bit of old tarmac, former roads, thoughts of stories long gone by.

Today I discovered a whole n'other way of looking for them, comparing _ancient_ OS maps side-by-side.
