I have an #OnyxBoox #NoteAir 1 , and I'm thinking about upgrading to a Note Air 5 Colour.
They seem to have the same processor, or at least processor information is not very clear. I would have hoped that the NoteAir5 would be faster than the 1. I'm using #Zotero for Android, and making handwritten notes on pdf with the Air1 is so slow that even writing very slowly, the screen lags one letter behind.
So, does anybody have an Air5C or an #BooxNoteAir4C ? Are they faster ?

I really do like #Boox #eink devices. I owned an A4 size one before I switched to my #NoteAir (1).

Boox never had great #userexperience when it came to software: their devices are *really* capable but you had to get used to its strange #UX before being able to use its awesome features properly.

Wow, it looks like that the #DigitalPaper #eink-device by #Montblanc is not only heavily overpriced but also way worse than almost everything on the market right now:

Don't buy that. My recommendation would be a #Boox #NoteAir device. Learn about them in other videos by #MyDeepGuide which I highly recommend for anything related to e-ink.

@norberteder Ich liebe mein BOOX Onyx #NoteAir (das 1er) und kann die Produktreihen von denen stark empfehlen.

Das Air - wie auch andere - sind nicht nur Reader sondern du kannst damit auch mit EMR-Stiften schreiben. Mein Hauptzweck sind händische Anmerkungen in PDF-Dateien.

Standard Android, also kannst du alle Android-Apps normal nutzen inkl. Syncthing + RSS-Aggregatoren zum "Zeitunglesen".

Die haben aber auch read-only Reader im Angebot - kenn ich allerdings nicht.

Für alles mit #eInk empfehle ich die Videos von #MyDeepGuide.

@gisiger Oh, I'd love to use fountain pens and #paper for as much as possible.

However, I also know that I won't carry a paper notebook which contains all necessary information.

Furthermore, I'm not manually transferring handwritten stuff into digital.

And there is no viable offline handwriting recognition I could use.

Or workflows that are suitable to integrate analog and digital which scales.

And yes, I do have an awesome #Boox #NoteAir which I could use for that but the digital environment is not there yet. (I use it just to annotate PDF documents.)

Therefore, I'm 100% digital with my #PIM. 😞🤷

I forgot one important #pen and so I had to re-do the photographs: my LAMY AL-star black EMR Stylus with a felt tip which I use on my #BOOX #NoteAir #eink tablet.

It completes the rest of my daily drivers:
#FaberCastell pencil, #Kaweco #Lilliput fountain pen and the #Fisher #SpacePen.
