Gäbe genug Ideen: Config im Dateisystem read-only setzen; bei Änderungen verpflichtende git-Commits und eine korrekte Hashsumme fürs Weiternutzen generieren sodass man vor dem Aufwand zurückschreckt, ...
Das wäre schon ziemlich cool, würde dir die Basics in Org à la todo.txt-Level einfach ermöglichen und dich vorm Herumspielen etwas beschützen.
Und ja, ich kann mich gut in dieses Problem hineinversetzen. 😉 Aber als Nerd kann man da kreativ werden und andere daran teilhaben lassen. 🤓

In general, you need to differ between different methods of #informationretrieval.
#Search vs. #navigation vs. #tags/labels vs. others + combinations such as teleportation ...
Furthermore, you need to differ between personal retrieval, where you yourself had done some filing/#categorization/tagging process and a process where you need to retrieve something from a corpus that was not somehow curated by you yourself but by one or many peers instead (social #tagging, company file server, ...).
And yes, in any case, your personal mental model changes over time. Therefore, it's difficult to do successful retrieval even for your personal files especially when you did not follow certain principles during the filing process.

It's so sad. With 📆 CalDAV we have a really nice open protocol for syncing events, todos and notes. The protocol, which is technically more of a file format (iCalendar) even supports quite complex reccurence rules and even things like recurring tasks.
Unfortunately, client (and server) applications usually only implement a subset of what's possible.

@marlinz008 I thought about such an experiment as well with one very particular use-case: mobile capture.
I was using #Orgzly Revived which has its issues with larger Orgdown files and this overcomplicated sync cascade causing Syncthing conflicts all the time.
I was using it for read-only access to my Orgdown files + mobile capture in one inbox file.
Then I started with #Orgro in parallel just for the capture process so that I don't rely on Orgzly's ultra slow sync process to finish on each capture.
Since Orgro has very weird behavior with shared content (basically I wrote Elisp functions to fix the format for all different kinds of capture content types), I thought about vibe-coding my first Android app just for the capture process in a text file in the format I want.
Not high on my prio list. Let's see how that goes. #ClaudeCode is removing features or adding very annoying stuff so I might as well end up with no proper #AI to do this.
