I could not find that many solutions to my #GNOME issues listed at the bottom on https://karl-voit.at/Gnome-Setup/ and so I tested Debian 13 Live #KDE for the last hour or so.

Boy, do I *really* have to switch desktop environment again? KDE has so much out-of-the-box where GNOME (or xfce) needs extra work and extensions ... 🤔 Furthermore, at least for my mini-test, it felt much faster than GNOME when it comes to window/desktop switching.

Tempting to get rid of GNOME again ...

Maybe in the upcoming weeks.

Ich habe vor über einem Jahrzehnt das schon für mich mit meinem Android-Handy und #Tasker implementiert, da damals WLAN-Erreichbarkeit mit Anwesenheit wunderbar korreliert hat und ich keine projektspezifischen Buchungen machen musste.

Aaaaaber: das war auf meiner Hardware, mit meinen Daten, meinen Logs und meine Prozesse.

Wollte ich, dass das eine Datenkrake wie #Microsoft für mich über deren #Cloud trackt? Eher nein bis gaaaanz sicher nie.

Khronos will be at GISC 2025!

The Global ICT Standards Conference (GISC) is the largest international conference in Korea dedicated to ICT standards and intellectual property.

Khronos President, Neil Trevett, will be giving a keynote address and a session on Khronos Group's current status regarding AI-related standardization. In addition, there will be a SYCL session on Processing-In Memory (PIM) utilization.

Anyone using Gnome Evolution for their emails? Do you know if there is a "conversation view", similarly to Thunderbird? This is in essence a threaded view of a specific message, which brings together all the message threads regardless of folders.

The only way I've found to do this is to search using the message's subject line. But this is rather cumbersome.

I appreciate any tips!
