EN: I found an old Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet in my things - it's old, but surprisingly works. Unfortunately it's got factory terrible Fire OS...
I looked a little and found that people convert 8th generations & newer ones to Lineage OS, but I've got 7th gen.
I'd like to move it to working OS, but don't want to brick it & have limited knowledge. Would you recommend any conversions or not risk it? Or should Lineage work?
Znalazłem w szafie stary tablet Amazon Fire HD 8 - ma wieki, nawet działa, tylko że operuje na fatalnym i ograniczonym Fire OS.
Poszukałem pobieżnie porad i widzę, że od 8 generacji ludzie przerzucają je na Lineage OS - tylko ja mam w ręku 7 generację. Chciałbym go przerzucić na działający OS, ale nie chcę zrobić z niego cegły, a sam nie bardzo się znam - czy polecacie jakieś konwersje, czy lepiej nie próbować? Czy Lineage może zadziałać?
Ich möchte mir ein neues #Tablet kaufen, am liebsten #E-Ink und näherungsweise A4.
Gefunden habe ich bisher #Boox und #reMarkable
Farbe wäre nett, sw ginge aber auch.
Hat jemand Erfahrung mit diesen Geräten?
Oder andere Empfehlungen?
Edit: Hauptsächlich will ich damit Noten lesen. Dafür verwende ich aktuell die App MobileSheets. Ggf. kontaktiere ich die Entwickler, ob das auch auf anderen Plattformen als Android und iOS läuft

Alright fedi, I have another one for you.
What's your favorite Linux tablet (or tablet that I can install Linux on) that you draw on? I'm specifically looking for something I can run Krita on and use for that purpose, but I would also use it for reading ebooks/comics.
It has to be fully independent, so no computer required. It has to have to have an HD screen. It has to run Linux, preferably Debian, as that's my favorite. It can't just be an android tablet unless it's possible to install Linux on it.
For context, I'm going to give up my ipad with apple pencil and want to replace that experience.
Bonus points if it comes with a stylus, but if not, please recommend one.
