President Donald Trump's "big beautiful bill" includes a section for "no tax on tips." Now that the provision is enacted, here's what experts know so far.

social media #influencers just had a lot of their tax burden eliminated via the new "no tax on tips" rules.

it's the equivalent of 20-30 years ago implementing a policy of just handing out free money to every journalist in the country. i hate it but tbh it's kind of brilliant politics.

#Trump’s #NoTaxOnTips BS probably won’t help tipped workers

Eliminating federal #taxes on #tips is just about the ONLY idea that Trump has to offer #workers’ pocketbooks.

The idea emerged almost out of nowhere in June, when Trump announced at a #Nevada rally that he supported a local waitress’s suggestion that workers shouldn’t pay taxes on tips. Under current #law, tips are treated the same as regular #wages are for #tax purposes.

Why Trump and Harris’s ‘no tax on tips’ plans may not help tipped workers

I'm glad Kamala agrees with Trump about #NoTaxOnTips, but I wonder why she cast the tiebreaking vote in favor of raising tax on tips while in office

Not sure why one type of income in the US should be exempt from income tax. But then again I’ve always disliked the tipping culture of the US. Even more so after living outside of the US for most of my adult life.

Good deal for hard working, under paid, often exploited service/hospitality workers, but just such an oddity of the the US system.
