marcasFor me though, it underscores how NHS Lothian's lack of support is so stark. It ain't just about a mounting pile of laundry or an inability to stay on task. It's a hundred-and-one other things too.
Anyway, I know help is at hand. So, please be a pal and chuck some spare change in the pot. It doesn't have to be a lot and every contribution is appreciated.

Still going with the GoFundMe, though it has stalled a little over the last week.
My update this week wasn't fun to write. It's about the experience of getting my prescription and facing homophobic abuse and threats of violence in the pharmacy. I guess it's one of the less-spoken about aspects of the neurodiversity experience - an intersectional life and coming to terms with your vulnerabilities.

Kenny BrownOff to an oncology opd appointment. Routine follow up. Thankfully I was treated in mid 2019 because if it had been a year later, goodness knows what it wouldve been like. Staff at Edinburgh’s Western General Hospital have always been great throughout. Got to love #nhslothian
JillyWe were again really lucky - we got pregnant quickly, had a very smooth pregnancy, and a labour with minimal interventions and easy recovery. I want to highlight here that the #MaternityServices and #midwives we dealt with in #NHSLothian were superb. Couldn't fault them, though they were clearly overworked and underfunded. This is another representation of my privilege I know, in that I am very capable of navigating NHS systems, but it deserves to be said they were wonderful
