Gambling is such a poison. I feel terrible for people who get caught up in it but disgust for the politicians that enable it. $7.7 billion lost by Illinoisians in 2025. This will only get worse with so-called "prediction" markets.

En réalité, l’activité des neurones à dopamine mesure plutôt un écart entre la récompense attendue et la récompense vraiment reçue. En d’autres termes, un pic de dopamine n’est pas la marque d’un plaisir éprouvé sur l’instant, mais la trace d’une comparaison entre nos prédictions de récompense et la réalité.
