So we have a choice.
Try to be what others want, slipping on & off a thousand different masks leaving us panicking & anxious about if we have chosen the right disguise to hide behind. Exhausted & resentful.
Or.
We be real. Authentic. Genuine. We live a life that brings us joy & love even if it rocks the boat. We can look in the mirror & recognise our relections, can see our souls & our light. Congruent & integrated. Imperfectly perfect & honest to who we are. Flaws & all.
I choose the latter. I have worked too hard to find me, just to loose myself again.
I will not diminish my light just because someone thinks I'm too bright. Wear sunglasses! Its repeatedly made me a villan in peoples stories over the years & thats ok. If being the bad guy is the role they need me to be, so they can heal, so be it. Its a role I've had to play my entire life, I'm used to it & I wish them love on their journey.
So I will continue to eat forbidden fruits away from Eden, piss off the angels, but allow myself to be loved by my fellow demons. Sure Eden is pretty, but the desert is where you'll find real acceptance & love π€
