"The Dawn" ("De Dageraad") is a socialist housing complex from 1920, situated in the southern part of Amsterdam. The apartments were meant to house workers and their families, and are still inhabited today.

The architect, Michel de Klerk, stated that "Nothing is beautiful enough for the worker, who has had to live without beauty for so long."

I took this picture with my vintage Agfa Isola, on mid format. Def takes you back in time.
