Microsoft has posted an incident update to January email hack of senior executives. They provide the following updates:

- the actor is using information to gain access to source code repos and internal system

- the on-going attack is "characterized by a sustained, significant commitment of the threat actor’s resources, coordination, and focus."

- Microsoft as "increased our security investments, cross-enterprise coordination and mobilization"

Not sure who mades the logic up for how MS products behaves. Some times there doesn't seem be any logic.
