I wasn't able to find a #meshcore sensor firmware for my #heltec V4 so I compiled one:

The Xiao/ESP32-S3 #meshcore roomserver 'gaasperdamge' is holding out well in the heat today.

Telemetry showed 71C internal temp at 3pm, max is 80 (spec), but can probably handle a bit higher, Expressif batch select these for 105C spec parts too.

I'm more concerned about the PLA printed internal frame holding this together..

Don't like the default maps for some reason? #Meshy 26.07 will have a solution for you. The shortcut Ctrl+M will open a dialog where you can set the source of the map tiles (both raster and vector) according to your preferences.

I got distracted from flashing my LilyGo t-deck because you can use esp-tool to dump the flash. I now know the basics of how partitioning works (at least with the default firmware).

Anyway, I've now flashed it with meshtastic (I'll probably switch to meshcore eventually) and I already want to make a few changes to the default keybinds.

Anyone have any advice on how to make custom firmware?
