## 🛰️ Introducing your personal Portal

MeshMapper now has a personal Portal. Sign in at https://meshmapper.net/portal.php to claim your gear and take control of your data.

Once you have registered, your display name shows on the global and regional leaderboards instead of your companion name. Claim multiple companions in your Portal account and they are combined into one summed result on the leaderboards instead of appearing as separate rows.

## 📊 Your Overview at a glance

- Points, grid squares mapped, regions driven, companion count, and any awards you have earned, all on one dashboard.

## 🔑 Your account

- Create an account with a username, email, and password. A quick email verification keeps it yours.
- Log in with your username or email, and reset your password any time via an emailed link.

## 📟 Claim the companions you own

- Connect your MeshCore companion over Bluetooth or USB and it proves ownership by signing a one-time challenge. Your private key never leaves the device.

## 🏆 Your leaderboard identity

- Set a display name in Profile Settings to choose exactly how you appear on the regional and global leaderboards.

## 🗺️ See your pings on the map

- From your Regions tab, open any region you have driven to view only your own pings on that map.

## 🧭 Manage your wardrive sessions

- Browse every wardrive session you have run. Search by session ID, filter by region, and sort by newest, oldest, or most pings.
- View a session on the map, delete a single session, or wipe all your pings. You are in full control. All ping deletion now lives here in the portal.

## ✨ Easier to find

- A Portal / Sign in link now lives on the home page and on every region map (under About, then Your Account).

nRF52840 is WAY better for a companion than ESP32 based nodes! The battery life is like x5 or so for me!

We should stop recommending ESP-based devices to beginners.

The Lilygo T-Pager #MeshCore ripple UI is so much nicer than the bare bones #Meshtastic one. But—at least in Gothenburg—its a wasteland. Wandered around most of the city yesterday and didn't see a single other node.

Combined with the Relay/Room Server firmware for the Pi Pico being seemingly borked, and that features seem to be paywalled, I'm going to go back to Meshtastic for a bit. We'll try again in 6 months...
