🇺🇸 The green-eyed hawker (Aeshna isoceles) is a medium-sized dragonfly commonly found near still or slow-flowing waters such as ponds, marshes, and ditches across parts of Europe. It measures about 6 to 7 centimeters in length with a wingspan of up to 10 centimeters. Recognizable by its green eyes and a distinct amber-brown triangle on the second abdominal segment, it is a fast and agile flyer. Active mainly from May to July, it hunts small insects in flight. Unlike many dragonflies, the green-eyed hawker prefers densely vegetated wetlands, where it also lays its eggs on aquatic plants. Though often elusive, it plays a valuable role in controlling insect populations and indicates healthy wetland ecosystems.

I am sitting in the sun, the Rozanne is visited by many bees. And I am exercising with my camera. What a beautiful day!🌞📷 #bees #bienen #macroinsects #bloomscrolling #insects #photography #nature
#fotovorschlag "insekten" "Hold on tight," I thought, when I saw this insect, because the wind was blowing and the delicate flower stem was moving back and forth and it had to stay there for a while, because a sharp photo could only be taken with a tripod. I have no idea what kind of insect it is, but it has a beautiful color. #insect #insects #photography #macro #macrophotography #macroinsect #macroinsects #fotografie #insekt #insekten #fediphoto #fediphotography
I took these photos a long time ago during a workshop where you learned to take macro photos in nature by hand. I haven't managed to do that well with this caterpillar, but what a beautiful creature it is, it looks like a sort of squirrel, but one that is only a few centimeters long. The blur makes the creature even more cuddly, I think. And in the second photo it looks like it can just about work its way up the leaf. So cute. Although it is probably just eating the plant😏 But I had never seen a caterpillar with such long hair. So that's why I'm showing the photos anyway. You also wonder what kind of beautiful butterfly will emerge from this. #nature #macro #macrophotography #caterpillar #macroinsects #naturephotography #fediphoto #naturfotografie #fotografie #photography
