It was King's Day here in the Netherlands last Saturday. Everything and everyone is orange. That is now almost over, only in the shops there is still a lot of orange stuff for half the price. And at the bakery you can still buy the last orange cakes and cookies. That's why I'm also joining in. Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista dei Celestini

(Trying this again because it came out slightly blurry the first time and I don't know why! Sorry! If it's blurry again, I don't know what to do. ♥️)

The Celestines were a Roman Catholic monastic order founded in 1244. They were invited to come to Bologna in 1368 by nobleman Antonio Di Ubaldino Galluzzi. The church had pretty extensive work done to it during the 16th century and has remained pretty much the the same all these years later.
The Celestines are no longer around and there has been some changes in the function of the church over the years. At one point it was part of the school for engineering. Today it houses state archives and they still hold masses and stuff. (I'm pretty sure - there was a mass timetable on the door)
