I'm not sure which one I am more stoked about: the 2011 #Macbook running #macOS12 buttery smooth or that the community version of macOS #Mavericks on the 2013 Macbook runs so GD well.  Either way it is all #awesome.

After many many many hours, both #Macbookpro now dual boots with a a “classic” OSX and a “modern” OSX.

MBP11 boots #Snow #MacOSXsnowleopard  and #macOS12.

MBP13 boots #macOSMavericks and macOS 12 (Monterey)

#OpencoreLegacyPatcher is f’n awesome.

Download #macOS14 #Sonoma mit #macos12 #monterey Backup im Vordergrund … Ich bin nervös und hoffe, dass ich jetzt nichts gestartet habe, was ich in 1-2 Stunden bereuen werde und womit ich dann bis Neujahr beschäftigt bin 🫣
Aber für aktuelle iOS Entwicklungen ist das jetzt erforderlich und auch #LightroomClassic möchte auch Monterey nichts neueres mehr laufen lassen … hilft ja alles Nix …

Ach Apple ey, lass mich als User doch entscheiden wie (un-)sicher ich mein System benötige. Ein paar boot-disks mit div Versionen zu haben wäre mir lieber als das wissen, dass niemand Unfug treibt wenn die Person das Gerät UND mein Passwort hat 😒

Wenn ich ein MaxBook Air M1 von #macos12 auf #macos14 bringen möchte und vorher ein #backup machen möchte das ich auch verlässlich zurück spielen (oder davon booten?) könnte: CCC noch das Mittel der Wahl? Erfahrungen zum Thema davon booten? Apple hat doch alle simplen Wege unmöglich gemacht, oder?

Some macOS Forensics

macOS 12:

In `/System/Volumes/Data/Users/<USER>/Library/Containers/com.apple.Safari/Data/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist`
You can find a key, which is intially not set. But will be set if the user deleted the browser history.

I saved the plist to a regular textfile before and after clearing the browser history. And compared the two with:

`diff prefernces.before.change.txt preferences.after.change.txt`

"ClearBrowsingDataLastIntervalUsed" => "all history"

This is an interesting key, unfortunately I was only able to find this in macOS 12.

Did someone else notice that key?

Hat denn schon jemand #ios18 in Benutzung aber den Mac noch auf #macos12 oder #macos13 und funktioniert alles weiter (Zwischenablage teilen, AirPods weiterreichen, geöffnete Apps/Links am jeweils anderen Gerät vorschlagen etc)!
