Since switching to Linux, I no longer have to wait HOURS for software updates on Windows & macOS. I can take almost ANY distro from the past year or so (or older in many cases) , install it from an ISO and then update it to the latest and greatest in LESS TIME than it takes to perform a simple point update on macOS.
And then they have the nerve to notify you that your machine is gonna be SLOW while all those new files get indexed.
