KaproTfw I solve my own problem in @elementary OS but hope that it helps other #elementaryos users.
Tfw Ubuntu 20.04 LTS doesn't release till April so I likely have to wait till April or May, perhaps later, for Elementary OS 6 which will be based on 20.04 LTS. Rip.
(+ Elementary OS 5.1.2 is codenamed Hera so I'm curious as to what Elementary OS 6 will be called)

Everyone and their prefered pet talks about kdenlive but what about all the other linux and open source editors such as flowblade, shotcut, Lives, cinelerra (and its history of forks) and the excitingly new Olive? Do you think that we focus too narrowly on kde's mlt based editor that we fail to acknowledge the variety that we have?

Dear Dukes of FLOSS @lunduke and ChromeBooks, Matt Hartley.
Related to the paying for FLOSS software: I have to wonder for devs who open source their code and decide to sell a binary, if there is a threat of said software being redistributed on mass from a third party site for free with no concern for dev compensation?
Should this matter simply be a matter of user trust of the developer, or should there be enact an "Added Value" feel to the purchase? (like #gog and #ardour)
Hannu Siivonen@lunduke We don't talk about Abiword enough. It's the little Word processon that could (still can). Windows fork doesn't get updated anymore. That alone is a reason to use Linux.

Why is manjaro so awesome?
I switched to manjaro a few months ago (had problems with my display under debian).
It just works; no problems whatsoever. The package manager is great: Finding and installing new applications is so easy. Needed dependencies can be installed alongside. Available updates will be displayed (no apt-get update)...etc.
Additionally, gnome looks great on manjaro. Just loving it!

Voltist#LinuxThursday @lunduke In your opinion, what can be done to stop misinformation and hate from being spread using decentralized and free-speechy platforms like Mastodon and LBRY? I love to use these platforms, and I don't want to see them being abused.
