Microsoft edge for Linux has moved from dev to stable, a while ago now if I recall correctly.
You'd imagine that was a good thing, but no. Now to use it you have to give M$ information, permissions and probably your soul.
It ain't happening.

Amazing how fast Linux went from being the first and last name in digital counterculture to now being full of compliance bros seeking online clout.
This guy and his one-man mission to implement bad faith age verification at all costs is a warning for the open computing community.
Installed Debian on an old laptop. As usual, it went smoothly. I also want to have Samba on it. I've done this before on other Linux machines, so I thought it would be a piece of cake. Well, that turned out to be disappointing. Until I realised that, in addition to Samba and autofs, I also needed ciftools.
I could write down everything I did, but I won't be able to find those notes again next time.
Because I had a conveersation about #backup yesterday at the pool.
trapexit, author of mergerfs, has a collection of IMHO , good and new user friendly howtos over here.
