The Ubuntu Community Council appointed a five-member temporary Kubuntu Council on June 24: Aaron Rainbolt, Michael Mikowski, Rick Timmis, Rik Mills, and Scarlett Moore. The step came after the existing council lacked enough members to run normal elections. The appointment runs one year, to June 24, 2027. It's a governance stopgap for a community-driven flavor. What would it take for Kubuntu to sustain an elected council again?

I need some help here.
#OpenSuse has a configuration option to allow sudo with an empty password, and I want to replicate that on #Kubuntu.
What I‘ve gathered so far:
- sudo.conf: Nothing
- /etc/sudoers: _No_ `nopasswd`, and no „Options targetpw“
- /etc/pam.d/common-auth: pam-unix.so nullok try_first_pass
But, these have no effect on a user in the sudo-group and an empty password is still rejected - pkexec however works.
